Tamenuri Urushi Artistry & Ebonite Core Crafted from a solid ebonite core, this oversized, voluptuous pen is meticulously hand-coated in natural Urushi lacquer. The "Biwatame" finish utilizes the Tamenuri technique, where layers of translucent amber lacquer are applied over a golden-brown base (reminiscent of the Japanese Loquat fruit). Over time and with use, the lacquer will naturally mature and become more translucent, revealing greater depth and contrast at the edges.
